General changes:

  • Trial version

    Do not hesitate to start working with MagiCAD. Now it is possible to install a fully functional 30-day trial edition and order a full license later.

  • Navisworks support

    Speed up the information exchange with your partners. New functionality allows MagiCAD properties to be transported directly to Navisworks, providing your partners with the necessary accurate data.



  • Object information available in an easy way
    Finding information has never been so easy. MagiCAD object properties are now shown in AutoCAD properties dialog. And you can also use AutoCAD Quick Select tool to select MagiCAD objects.

Ventilation and Heating & Piping:

  • Support for new product types gives users more freedom when designing building services:

    • air devices and roof fans with many connections
    • pipe and duct components with eccentric and different connections

  • Real 3D geometry support for sewer points


  • Design and calculation of sprinkler systems has become a lot easier:
    • Sprinkler connection via specific height level for faster creation of sprinkler pipe work
    • Warning limit for high velocity allows users to easily find too small pipes
    • Calculation according to a given pump pressure and possibility to define flow density for each sprinkler head gives more flexibility in running calculations of the system.
  • Improvements in creating sections: More flexible 1D presentation, and more data available when selecting section objects makes selection a lot easier.

Electrical:

  • New separate default cable tray settings for vertical and horizontal bends present information in a more logical way, which makes it easier to design cable routes.

  • No boundaries on the choice of products. Possibility to use box or cylinder as a 3D model gives freedom to fulfil 3D projects even if the manufacturer’s data are not available for a particular product.
